DELIA is a half-open formal ladies’ barong in blue colored cocoon silk, finished with 3/4 sleeves and a regular collar. Cocoon silk is reeled from the cocoon of the Bombyx mori silkworm, prized as both the strongest and, for its weight, the lightest natural textile fiber. This half-open construction is known as “pechera” (from the Spanish pecho, “chest”) — the oldest and most classic barong style, with embroidery concentrated along the chest opening.
