SANTIAGO

A shirt jack barong tagalog with pintucks in off-white jusi, SANTIAGO carries the EN Barong Filipino name, finished with short sleeves. Jusi — Filipino for “silk,” from the Chinese hu-shih — is reeled from the cocoon of the Bombyx mori silkworm; the towns of Bulacan, Bocaue, Malolos, Hagonoy, and Baliuag were historically its centers of production.
