ANTHONY
ANTHONY, a half open formal barong in beige cocoon silk, is part of the EN Barong Filipino line, finished with long sleeves and a chinese collar. Cocoon silk is reeled from the cocoon of the Bombyx mori silkworm, prized as both the strongest and, for its weight, the lightest natural textile fiber. This half-open construction is known as “pechera” (from the Spanish pecho, “chest”) — the oldest and most classic barong style, with embroidery concentrated along the chest opening.
